Dolphin Island Country Club — Membership FAQs
What do I get in my Membership Unit?
With a DICC Membership Unit, you will receive both tangible benefits and cash-back rewards for as long as you hold your Membership. Upon purchase, we will send you a Membership Card, which you will use when visiting the project, and grant you your lifetime benefits for the project. The tangible benefits vary according to your participation level, and your cash-back rewards vary according to the number of units you hold.
Further, you own the Membership Unit, and you can either redeem your Membership before the project has hit the cash rewards milestones (if you want to leave early) through our platform or once the resort announces an open date, you can sell your Membership on our marketplace. The marketplace features will be released in late 2023.
How do I get a Membership Unit?
You get a Membership Unit by registering a free account on dicc.com. From there, you click Buy DICC Units, choose the level of participation you would like, and then you will enter into the payment processing phase of the site. Make your payment, and our team will process the payment and issue the Membership Unit. Within the next few days, we will mail out your Membership Card.
Can I buy the Membership Unit in crypto? Mastercard or Visa?
Yes. We are crypto-friendly and we are constantly adding more crypto options as well as adding an ability to pay with a Mastercard or Visa in the coming months.
Can I transfer my Membership to others?
Until the marketplace opens, you cannot transfer your Membership Unit with others. Once the marketplace opens, you will be able to transfer your Membership to others after they have created an account on dicc.com, accepted the terms of the Program, and then you and the other party can transfer the Membership Unit through our platform.
How much does a Membership cost?
The membership cost depends on when you decide to join Dolphin Island Country Club. Early participants will receive promotional discounts and will have a lower buy-in cost. Later rounds of Membership purchasers will have a higher price point. See the expected cost per round and the number of Membership Units being made available in each round.
When will live events be held?
We will announce participating performers starting in late 2023. We will likely open certain amenities of the island to allow for events to be held, prior to the actual resort living spaces being open. You can see the live cameras on the registered portal, so you will know exactly when we will have the areas close to being ready.
What kinds of performances or events will happen on DICC?
We will have a variety of types of performances and events, ranging from private corporate events, DJs, Latin pop, to a myriad of genres of music and comedic acts.
What are the future phases of the project?
The first phase of the project is purely focused on building out the resort and the initial amenities. After this phase, we are considering either selling over-the-water plots or expanding the resort. A lot depends on the success of the first phase of the resort, the financial performance, and the opportunities that are available to grow. The preferred level Membership Unit-holders will be engaged first as these opportunities come about.
What are the Unit Member levels?
There are 4 levels of Membership. Silver, which holds 1 Membership Unit. Gold, which holds 5 Membership Units. Platinum which holds 10 Membership Units, and Diamond, which holds 20 Membership Units. It is expected that people will slowly add to their Membership Units, growing their participation. Once they have reached the threshold of the next level, we will reissue their new Membership card.
How do the cash rewards work?
Once the resort is open, there will be a number of ways that the project will generate revenue, ranging from event tickets, food & drink, resort night stays, amenities, transportation, and many more. Each quarter the Management Team will evaluate the financial performance of the resort and will allocate profits according to the broader resort's financial needs first, followed by the shareholder and then Membership Unit holders ultimately. These amounts will be declared each quarter, and each Membership Unit holder will be notified via email–and the amounts of the cash back rewards will be distributed via a digital wallet (currently in development) on the registration portal on dicc.com.
How much will the cash rewards be?
The cash rewards will vary based on the individual’s level of participation in the project, and it is hard to predict exactly how much the rewards will be; however, we do expect that these rewards will start to be distributed around 2 years after the opening of the project and to grow in size over the few years thereafter, as we refine our processes, and improve our marketing and awareness in the nearby markets.
When will the cash rewards phase begin?
Cash rewards will begin once the Management Team has realized that the project is generating an adequate operating profit to pay all the required items. Membership Unit cash back rewards will be 5% of retained quarterly earnings after shareholder dividends and after the resort has accumulated 12 months of working capital and a $5 million cushion for opportunistic growth projects for the community's future. These amounts will be evaluated annually by the management team and may increase or decrease reward payments, working capital requirements, or growth cushions based on market conditions.
Where can I keep track of my cash rewards?
We are creating a system on dicc.com so you can see your accumulated cash-back rewards and then choose to push those rewards to your digital wallet provider or choice.
Are all Members considered VIPs?
Yes. All Members are considered VIPs compared to any regular person visiting the resort either as a day pass person or a nightly guest. Members of any level will get preferred treatment, access, and service levels for them being key participants in creating Dolphin Island Country Club. The higher the level, the more VIP.
Who else can use my Membership?
The tangible and on-site benefits of your Membership can only be used by yourself and one guest. You will need to furnish your Membership card upon arrival.
Can I sell my Membership?
After we have announced our opening of the resort, we will release our marketplace, whereby you can choose to set the price at which you want to sell your Membership Unit. The marketplace will establish the market clearing price, but we expect that the price will be no less than the latest round in which new Memberships were issued.
Do I get an actual Membership Card?
Yes. We have a factory that produces these cards, and we will ship them to you after we have verified your purchase and issued the Membership Units. You will get the card within 3–4 weeks after purchase.
What happens if I lose my Membership card?
Contact us at support@dicc.com, and we will work with you on refurnishing a new card (at a cost).
What if I want to upgrade my Membership
If you want to upgrade your Membership, you can do so simply by logging in to your account and purchasing enough Units to reach the next level of Membership.
What other benefits does the membership entail?
You receive merchandise, a Membership Card, VIP treatment, and discounts on the use of DICC amenities, events, and activities, and as the Management Team comes up with additional ways to improve the resort, the Membership base will be the first place they will turn to push new ideas and concepts.
Do I actually own part of the island with my Membership?
Your Membership Unit is not ownership of the Island, much as your Membership to any other association doesn’t get you claim to own anything of that group. What it does get you is VIP access, experiences that separate you from the rest, a treatment that sets you apart, and cash-back rewards that are unavailable to anyone else.
When does my Membership Unit expire?
The Membership Unit does not expire as long as it is held by the rightful owner.
